Stanford Summer Camp
STANFORD SUMMER CAMP 2025

We're so excited to announce our first (EVER!) summer camp at the Stanford Rec! Below you'll find all of the relevant and current information for the camp.

Please know that all decisions that have been made to bring this camp to our community have been made with careful and calculated consideration. Decisions have been based on feedback given by the community, as well as thoughtful research and budgetary assessments that we hope will lay a successful foundation to build upon for years to come. We appreciate our community's support in helping make this inaugural year a success. Questions and comments are always welcome and we ask that you please bear with us while we work out all of the details. Providing an enjoyable, trustworthy, and safe summer experience for our children and community is what we are aiming for!

CALENDAR, ACTIVITIES AND ADDITIONAL INFO

We are currently working on putting together a calendar of events and activities for the summer. We will incorporate swimming; we also hope to incorporate swim lessons for those who may be interested but please allow us time to work on the best way to offer this. We are hoping to utilize our local resources such as the Stanford Library and Stanford Community Garden, as well as bring in some outside businesses and organizations as some of our programming offerings. Our goal is to offer an interesting and engaging day with structure, while also allowing for free play with friends.

Kids will need to bring their own lunches, packed preferably in an insulated lunch box as refrigeration will not be available for lunches.

Additional documents such as emergency contact and pick up forms, camp guidelines/rules/safety, etc. will be sent out at a later date to registered families.

CAMP DIRECTOR

Our Camp Director is Sarah Beam. Sarah grew up attending the Pine Plains School District and currently is the long-term leave teacher for health education in the middle and high school. She is a NYS Certified Physical Education Teacher and has her Master's degree in Health and Wellness Education. Sarah is also a field hockey and softball coach in the district. Additionally, Sarah worked as the Assistant Director for the last two summers at the Stanford Rec. She is reliable and dedicated and will be a great asset to the camp program.

Register early as we anticipate filling quickly. Registration will open for Stanford residents first, and for non-residents on 2/24.
